Called in today around lunchtime as I had a little time to wait for a bus, but found the pub was closed and the door locked. Does anybody know why?

Six beers on offer, split between the two bars.
GK and Deuchars IPA, Morland Original, Ruddles County, Boltmaker and Landlord.
Quality food, although above average price.

I was in Watton last summer, and had a couple of pints in the Bull
I could hear loud pop music coming from the G & D, which put me off
visiting.

I was told by a couple of customers in the Bull , that the G & D were
catering for the twenty somethings !

How this will work out is anybody's guess.

The G & D is a nice old village pub for older people , not a teen hangout.

I had a nice pint of Old Hooky here last night, while my chum had a Red Stripe and a Staropramen. Although this pub majors on food, and from what I saw the food looked pretty good, it is still somewhere you can enjoy a pint.

Primarily yet another eatery but it does have a bar area that at least resembles a pub bar. Four ales on... Lancaster Bomber was okay as was the headbanging Old Crafty Hen.
