| Came here on Wednesday lunchtime. It was my first visit for just over 8 years. The Exmouth Arms is now much improved. It even opens early for breakfast now and has survived the construction works around Euston, unlike the Bree Louise. Titanic Plum Porter is a regular ale. Guests were Sambrook's Pale Ale, Twickenham Yakima Valley ABA, Truman's Roll Out The Barrel & Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter. There's normally a real cider on handpull. | This used to be my favourite pub in central London. Busy, friendly, good beer and once the after work crowd had gone there was the feeling of a genuine local. Sadly it's now been taken over and "improved" Noisy, expensive and full of people who want to be seen to be cool and having a good time. Very tedious and very disappointing. | This is the best pub in the area for sunny lunchtime beers. Its position at the end of the road means it isn't in the shadows and unlike the local Bree Louise or the Queens Head and Artichoke that also sit on the sunny side, the road it is on only sees cars once every 5 minutes+ so its ore outside drinking friendly. Also since it was done up 12months+ ago, the beer, food and service has certainly improved leaps and bounds. Back in 2010 I rated this a 3, now its a healthy 7. Selly - 22 Dec 2016 19:41 |
