Thought it was quaint, typical country pub but somewhat marred by the aftermath.
My friend and I visited on the evening of 13th august 2014. We both had steak and ale pudding with roast potatoes and veg and shared bottle of wine.
I spent most of the night in the bathroom and text my friend at 6.30 in the morning to ask how she was and she'd been up vomiting during the night - never again!!!

nice and cosy and full or charm inside. fantastic beers on tap, a good and interesting selection. the garden was full on a sunny bank holiday afternoon

Being local we have visited this pub a fair few times and i used to wonder why this pub was so quiet except when the sun is shining. Now i know! Beautiful building, good ales, friendly bar staff. However, it must be said, the rudest landlord you have ever met, children are not welcome....but tolerated at times, far too much dog poo in the garden (and we love dogs!!). Thankfully we are spoilt for choice with fabulous pubs around here. If you have a choice the Rose and Crown, the Anglers Retreat, and the Grand Junction are all brilliant pubs with great food and ales, catering for adults, children and dogs. Pubs as pubs should be.

Lovely pub a long way down a quiet road. Despite the photo above there is a building with comfortable rooms and a good selection of esoteric beers. Quiet on a Saturday night, but Marsworth is hardly twinned with Gomorrah.
