Haven’t had - what I’d call - proper (friendly) service this good in ages. The young lady in question was very friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. Great selection of beers and ciders. I opted for one of the stronger offerings from the onsite brewery - Citadel. What a gorgeous pint it was too. We sat out in the nice little beer garden at the rear. Will pop in again when in the area.

Beer here was better than in Clun's other pub and there is also a wider choice. The on-site brewed Green Man was apposite yesterday and excellent it was too. Residents of Clun are lucky to have 2 proper pubs in their town.

The White Horse is home to the Clun brewery. Pale & Citadel were their 2 cask ales. Bottled beers and take aways were available. They also had Salopian Darwin's Origin & Hop Twister, Wye Valley Butty Bach & Hobsons Best. The cider was Farmer Jims Dry and they also had Farmer Jims Farmyard Perry. More of a community pub than the Sun. This place appeared more of a family pub whilst also accommodating for a younger crowd. Both pubs in Clun have their merits. I thought the White Horse had the edge.

Nice 16th century inn with character. Great local ale. Friendly and comfortable.

Tremendous. All the things I love about proper pubs; no music just conversation, excellent range of 4 ales including two brewed on the premises, superb food open fire, friendly landlord. It had them all. A great place.
