We tried the fish and chips. Fish very nice, Chips had been reheated (probably more than once) and were crap.
Pedigree on two handpulls, EPA on one and Paddy's Tout on two.
I had the latter, which was excellent.
Good for a drink, but don't expect good food.
Not worth the 130 mile round trip.

OK, yet another chance, and what a difference!
It appears to be under new management, and no longer has worn-out smelly furniture, sticky floors and scruffy staff.
Instead, good beer, and welcoming staff, and an altogether superior atmosphere. What's more, they advertise fish and chips fried in beef dripping, just the way it should be!
Pedigree, EPA and Hobgoblin on, and in good nick.

I gave this place another chance, as I had a little spare time.
Not as bad as I had been led to believe, although the staff wearing scruffy jeans could be improved sartorially, and the furniture looks very tired. Couple of good pints of bitter had by me and herself, although a little too cold, but it seems the same everywhere these days.
Staff polite, if ill-clad. Seems very food-oriented, but I didn't feel tempted, as there's a wonderful fish and chip shop just up the street.

I was going to pop in here, but a couple of old boys, who had been in earlier, said not to bother, as it would be a disappointment. I took them at their word.
