| A very good pint of Morland when I visited this week. They had a reasonable selection on their menu as well as having a burger menu - the "George & Dragon" burger was excellent and a lot of it. | I've been meeting up with friends here for a while now, usually once a month. The Morland Original last week was excellent and the usual solitary barmaid was her normal helpful, friendly and efficient self. | Pretty good but can be a little drafty and the pooch that patrols the premises may not be to everyone's taste, amiable as it is. The food is standard pub fare but is slightly above average and the service is absolutely fine. The pub is backgrounded by an idyllic church and the graveyard in whcih George Orwell is interred. | This pub has changed ownership again, however the new couple are carring on the pub/ food in the tradition the last couple started. The beer Green King is in good condition, the food has a good reputation with a varied and interesting menu morlandman - 11 Feb 2009 14:26 |
