BULLSHIT ALERT
strange, no posts about this pub for the last 5 1/2 years and then two within 8 minutes, both of which are the only posts made by each of the people posting and both written in the same style that cries out" I OWN / MANAGE THIS PUB"

Two great pub dogs, great atmosphere, good locally sourced foods! Recently refurbished beer garden hidden away behind the pub. Lovely and clean, friendly staff. The best pub in Welwyn in my opinion!!

An absolutely superb village pub. Recently been taken over by Dan and Jess who have changed the pub completely, a complete refurbishment was made on The Steamer in 2013! They have Indian cuisine every evening, delicious and fresh!! Sky Sports, fresh Italian coffee, great prices and the only pub I know in this area to include a mixer with the spirits!! Very clean, highly recommend a visit! Very different to how The Steamer was!!!

Very odd. And it has a chinese takeaway inside the pub!

Up the hill towards the 'council' end of Welwyn. A McMullens house of two halves (public bar/Lounge that is). Although the public bar was pretty much empty most of the seats had coats/pullovers on them to 'bagsy' them for locals. No staff behind the bar so one of the customers deigned to serve me. Only AK on draught which was pretty dire. Doubt I'll be making a return visit somehow.
