Temporarily closed as a pub (coronavirus).

But selling takeaway beer.

Bring your own container - washed out milk cartons suggested!

£2 a pint...

A decent enough but slightly tired option near the station in Lincoln so a logical place to wait for a train. Britpop hits were playing in the bar including the Fratellis' 'Chelsea Dagger' (unfortunately). Very old fashioned at the back where diners are treated to paper tablecloths, doilies and napkins. The ales - from local heroes Bateman's - are well kept though.

Gosh this now deserves a much higher rating than its current 4.4. There was one Bateman beer on and 5 guests ranging from a superb Citra to a stout and porter from micros. Very convenient for the station but don't get stuck wrong side of the level crossing if going for a train as the barriers can stay down for 5 minutes sometime as there's no footbridge.

An oasis in an area of the town where the real ale choice is not so god. Batemans beers and some well kept guests. The Batemans Salem Porter was in poor condition but was instantly changed and taken off and replaced by a guest stout.
