We visited this venue on Saturday 21st February 2015 both My partner & I were very impressed with the service We received from the bar staff ( very fast in service made eye contact & We were asked twice if we were being served ) prices are good as are all Weatherspoons/ LLoyds venues smoking area had seating which is good as I suffer with back problems the door staff are very well trained and positive in their attitude toilet facilities better than average considering the time of the evening 11pm ( when first checked ) DJ proffesional and good choice of music kept the punters happy and entertained late opening hours a definate plus ( who needs a nightclub when this place has it all ) I would definately recomend this venue of all the Wetherspoons/lloyds bars I have visited I can truthfully say this has to be within the top 5 keep up the good work & a big thankyou to the lady working the upstairs bar ( stevie) you made our evening very enjoyable

Standard JDW house. Mixed clientele. So-so choice of ales. Handy if in the market place area.

Gave it another go while up for the footy again. Wow nothing has changed. The toilets still stunk and the girl who served me couldnt speak any english? This place couldnt be better situated for pulling in the punters. I can only assume the people who run it have the intelligence level of a turnip.

Popped in here for a nosey a couple of weeks ago around lunch time, having heard through the grapevine that the ale range and beer condition had improved.

There's a valuable lesson here: Don't listen to rumours.

Beers on offer were GK Abbott (I refuse on principle to drink any Greed Kerching product), Wychwood Hobgoblin and two guests from Shardlow - Table Topper and some other World Cup themed rubbish.

Asked for a taster on said Shardlow brews, established that both were so far gone as to be virtually out of sight (though sadly not out of smell) and promptly left again.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother!

Went in while up in Leicester for the football. Cheap beer didnt try the food.
Very dark interior a bit depressing. Decided i needed the toilet. Never been in one with such a smell of stale urine. Clearly management dont care about the comfort of the customer just the profits. Only good for a cheap pint.
