My new favourite pub in Bath. In all the times I have been it’s not been on my radar. It’s a good looking pub, small and perfectly formed, with a friendly welcome, well-kept beers (Abbeydale Bellringer and White Friar plus guests - on my visit Tring and a Bath brewery one) and a lovely interior. If it looks packed in the area outside and in the bar, stick your head up the stairs as it’s usually quieter.

Excellent pub tucked away down an alley, slightly off the tourist trail. Smallest pub in Bath so understandably compact! Friendly pleasant staff and good selection of local well-kept Abbey Ales. Chef had apparently just quit so no food! However temporarily they were happy for customers to buy lunch from neighbouring businesses to bring in. Came back for a second visit - recommended

Small but perfectly formed pub in a narrow lane near the retail centre of Bath. Visited mainly because of its name, as I'm a bit of a history geek, but I really enjoyed the pub and a pint of Bellringer @ 3.40 was spot on. Friendly people on both sides of the bar. No idea if the customers were tourists or locals, we were all treated with courtesy.

Visited this pub on the recommendation of a friend who is a local. Good selection of beers, not much room, but warm and cosy.
