Improved a lot since I was last here. Nice spot on the village green with plenty of shady seating outside at both front and back. Food good if slightly pricey, they don't do sarnies or jacket spuds on Sundays as there's a roast menu instead. Their ploughmans are very nice. Beer was Doombar, Youngs and Sussex ale, all pretty good. Very friendly & helpful staff. alan_From_SAWW - 27 May 2012 20:16
Friendly service and a good range of ales, which they were very happy for me to try before buying. The food was decent but nothing exceptional. Overall, a good option if you're in the area but in my opinion not somewhere worth seeking out specially. aaroncp - 8 Nov 2011 07:56
Have been visiting the Red Lion for many years and it has changed hands a few times. The current landlady Debby has been there for a few years and the pub is now everything it always promised to be. The food is gorgeous and the beer is perfect every time, with a good choice of real ales. Can't say much about the wine list as I'm a beer drinker but my wife says the choice of wines by the glass is extensive and well priced. The daily food specials always have a treat on and if there is nothing there for you the favourites and regular menu are consistently good and varied. The pub is clean, fresh and well kept while remaining traditional with open fires etc. My favourite pub in the area. terry1965 - 8 Feb 2011 22:36
