top, top place for a pint and lunch. do a great fish finger sandwitch and the beer is good and not too expensive (it is in town after all!)

regular haunt for me and my colleagues. staff friendly, upstairs dining room relaxed and easy to enjoy a nice lunch without too much interuptions.

downstairs more lively but atmosphere always good.

def one to see, a must visit

Wow what a great pub along with brill staff, A+ on the ladies toilets they're the best (Ladies called Helen will especially like them). A great venue to start the night if you're going to something like a restaurant launch around the corner at Saddlers

The best pint of Bombardier i have had in a good while. And the staff couldn't have done enough for us.
Toilets were a little on the dodgy side but a second pint of the good stuff put that right.
Wasn't overly impressed with our sandwiches, when bread is the main ingredient then it should be super fresh, ours were a bit crispy.
Very good beer though

Took the Wife shopping on our London visit (Bond Street) with the expressed deal that we also get a drink or two afterwards. Found this place by accident (proximity) and LOVED IT! Freindly folks behind the bar, a few real ales and some good ciders, decent pub grub. Lots of suits and business people meeting after work, but the atmosphere was quite jubilant. Again, the staff WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL despite the reviews I have read.

Absolutely horrible evening experienced here a few nights back. Staff were rude, blunt, and obviously did not want to be there at all. One helpfully swore at me when I had the audacity to ask where the toilets were.

For some reason, we then decided to order food. Firstly, it took almost an hour to arrive and then the lady who brought it over huffed and stormed off when I asked for ketchup. I had the cod and chips and it may of been the worst tenner i've spent in my life, not sure what was going on in my head when I thought this was a reasonable deal but the standard was that awful that it was barely worth 50p let alone that much. The only reason they can charge those sort of disgraceful prices is that the place is packed with American tourists who are obviously quite unaware they are paying way over the odds for a disgusting excuse of traditional English cuisine.

The place emptied out as soon as the football finished, which is obviously the only reason anyone who's not a tourist feels the need to go in there.

Someone twice tried to take my half-finished pint from the table before I was anywhere near finishing it and both times they looked like i'd insulted their mothers when I had the nerve to say "I'm still drinking that"

Would never go anywhere near the place ever again. Puts me in a bad mood just thinking about it. Went in a pub with similar decor last night and had to leave immediately because it reminded me of this sorry excuse for a pub.
