please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

after hearing the gloucester would be taken over by that weird school adjacent to it, i became deeply sadened. i lived across from the gloucester for a spell, and it truly became home. the fish and chips was good, the tetley's was.... well, tetley's, and there's nowhere else in london i'd rather watch an aresenal match. damn good times. an example of how a simple pub can become a great place. we'll miss you.

Dear All,

Raise a glass to The Gloucester Arms and all who sailed in.

I regret to inform you that the school for the privileged next door,
has purchased the pub and from 31/05/2005. They will be converting
this lovely hostelry into a pile of rubble.

Not sure where to recommend, nearby I might go for the Alsop if theres a few of you.

Small one, The Feathers.
Cheap one, The Metropole
Yuppie one, The Volunteer
Thai one, The Hob Goblin

Otherwise, Id send you south of the Marylebone Road.

Cheers!!!!

Quite a small bar, typical London prices, average food quality served at lunchtimes and evenings. Sky TV etc.

Pleasant back street-ish pub. Real ale? Only Bass and Tetley [sometimes none!]. Can get very smoky at times. Good value food. Screen for the better sporting events.
