Quick 1 pint visit on the way to Wembley for the England vs Scotland game.

I have used the Allsop several times over the years' when at Wembley for various sporting occasions.

On this visit it was strictly a quick pint of lager in a plastic glass , drinkable but unidentifiable.

Bouncers on the door and meatheads inside. I've had better experiences in this pub.

Convenient GK pub near Marylebone and Baker Street stations.
Usually has good selection of GK and guest beers, and quite attractive food menu (which includes 'meal-and-drink' offers).
Even at weekday lunchtimes there usually seem to be tables available.
But the really notable feature is that there are always lots of attentive staff (if only Weatherspoons could achieve this), both behind the bar and monitoring those eating food.
It's a perfect place to have a pub lunch after arriving on the excellent Chiltern Railways 'Silver Train' arrival from Birmingham at 12.30, before hitting town for the afternoon!

Interesting building. Masses of people outside but they were waiting for the bus. Popped in as I was 30 minutes early for a train from Marylebone which is just along the road. Nice pint of golden hen. Sure I will be back.

Came in here late on a Saturday afternoon after being at Wembley for the rugby.

5 GK beers on the taps, Abbott, Fireside, Old Speckled Hen, IPA & Alsopp Arms Best Bitter...brewed especially for the pub.

Standard London pub with wooden floors, non-English staff that were pleasant, very quick and attentive though a couple were on the surly side

Xmas decorations were hanging from the lights and around mirros etc...music playing slightly too loud for the size of the crowd so the noise was quite loud.

Decent enougb place for a few pints but it's standard Greene King

Not bad; could do with more choice than the usual bland GK beers but as good as you can hope for around here. Prices and service okay, five minutes walk from Marylebone station so a good way of killing half an hour before a train.
