Now the Lion and Key, this is a decent pub serving a fairly limited but excellent quality menu specialising in fish & chips. Always a good choice of well kept cask ales. Check opening times first, as it doesn't open on Mondays and closes fairly early once food has stopped.

Now the Lion & Key and thankfully, the service is now back in good order. They were doing a roaring trade of a late October Tuesday although the whole place does reek bit of cheap and plentiful British fried food. The ale selection and quality was everything to write home about though.

Character pub, but food expensive, fish and chips £10+. People(tourists) were eating but would have preferred better value menu. Went to Wilberforce Weatherspoons because of the price! Should be £6-£8. Beer good but out on a limb.
Eat elsewhere but visit for the pub atmosphere

Unusual and cosy pub with about 10 hand pumps. The food coming downstairs from the kitchen looked substantial and good quality.

Good selection of ales. Wonder if the on-site brewery will ever be used to brew?
Staff very friendly.
