Much cleaner since the refurb and has cheap beer. Pity the idiots are still there in large numbers.

Cask Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen always on - never seen a 3rd cask ale on? Quality is not great. Still has Sky and now has ESPN, and refurb is an improvement.

Called in on a quiet Monday evening intending to order food, but the bar service was that slow we went elsewhere!

Refurb not bad inside and 3 cask ales on though - if you can wait long enough!

I went in on a Sunday evening a few weeks back with some friends of mine. The beer was good, but the choice of real ales was a little limited. It's a standard Green King pub, so nothing unique about the place, but it seems to be a perfectly good pub. And the staff where friendly.

Was always a terrible pub - sad place.

However, it looks like the refurbishment has been done tastefully and the addition of real ale will make it an attractive venue albeit uninspiring. Hopefully the management will run the pub properly from here on - i.e. real ale and a firm hand with idiots.
