There isn't many pubs like this one in Exeter, a big old school boozer with very good prices.
A good pub for away football fans as well.

8/10

Really freindly boozer with 4 real ales and a proper cider on. Away fan friendly and right next to the footie ground.

Its a shame that this pub is nearly 400 miles away from where I live!! Went there to watch Exeter v Oldham and everything about it was excellent. Went there for a pint and spend two hours before and two hours after the game in the bar. A great welcome from the bar staff, a good atmosphere and most importantly a well kept selection of real ales (being a northerner most of them were new to me). Certainly worth popping in.

Back to it's original name "The Wells Tavern"

Was hoping to visit a new ground for Exeter v Vale but the game was frozen off. Ended up in here where they had Abbot, Tribute, Doom Bar, Otter Bitter and the guest ale Arundel Sussex Gold. Basic boozer and friendly enough despite the barmaid being a Portsmouth supporter.

Definitely worth a visit if you are going to a game.
