| This has always been a very scenic pub, in a lovely rural village setting and with a large duckpond in the garden. I stopped here on a Saturday tea time, and pub was pretty busy. I agree with "beerygasman", I'm not normally a Greene King IPA fan, but I was served a nice pint. Other beers were JHB (Jeffrey Hudson Bitter) from Oakham Ales and Sharpes Doom bar (I think). | There is now a new landlord. Served greeen King IPA, which I often don't rate, and is often boring, but the pint |I had was as good as I've tasted it. I couldn't try the Speckled Hen as I was driving! Had meal in restaurant, and the steak pie is the best ever. I get fed up (pun intended!!), with "steak pie", being a morsel of meat in gravy, in a dish with a covering of puff pastry.
