user reviews of the Royal Exchange, Bordon

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

At last: Lindford has a pub again. A year after closure the Exchange has been bought from the 'pubco' which owned it by a small specialist operator, Red Mist Leisure Ltd. It has been thoroughly refurbished and transformed. Four real ales from small/braft brewers. Food not cheap but of excellent quality. Staff friendly and helpful. I've been waiting and hoping for this since I moved to the village eight years ago. Even the telephone number has changed to 01420 488118 - no more premium numbers!

This pub was on the brink of destruction until Chris, the new landlord, came to save it. It is still a basic local but now it is a local with a heart. There are big screens for Sky sports and you can often watch different sports on the individual screens. Chris has a passion for real ale and runs an ever-changeing pair of ales from the Punch range. Tripple fff beers appear regularly and I've yet to have a beer there that's not up to muster.

Don't go there for dinner because they don't do food but, if you fancy a pint and a chat in a good old local, pop in here.

Well they sell beer and other things.

Overall a heartbraking pub but ,as i understand, the owner is waiting to sell up rather than doing anything with it.

Lovely friendly lady there behind the bar though!!!!
