| Centre of the village and a timeless feel to the place. Lovely green outside - so perfect on a summers day. On a winters day, they have every combination of pub sports you can think off - including a skittle alley. Two real ales - Doom Bar and Atlantic. | An unpretentious village local with pool table, dartboard and a skittle alley out the back. Licensee took time to welcome my partner and me, a couple of strangers in his bar, which was a nice touch. A couple of cask ales available (Butcombe and Wickwar BOB), licensee is enthusiastic about guest beers so these will probably change. No reason not to pop in if you're in the area. Unsure whether they do food, didn't see any evidence of it, but wasn't after a meal so weren't paying that much attention. KevinD - 16 Feb 2013 16:58 |
| The Ivy Inn has now been taken over by Diane and Ian Coldrick who have moved down from the Horseshoes in Shropshire. We will be trading as a real pub selling Real Ales ,the house Bitter is Wickwar Bob with a second hand pump changing every two to three days. We are the only pub in the village and offer a warm friendly welcome to all our customers old and new. At the moment we do not do food but this could change in the future, we have a skittle alley and function room which can be used for parties , buffets etc. We look forward to seelng you soon.
