| Called here at noon and again at about 5.00 p.m. last Friday whilst out cycling. Enjoyed the lighter Batemans option available. A nice homely, unpretentious atmosphere, with a friendly reception behind the bar. Slightly disappointed not to have any snacks other than crisps etc. in the evening, but I was the only patron there at that time of the afternoon so I wouldn't expect the kitchen to be in action. | Nice village pub in a pretty Cambridgeshire location, next to the two churches of Swaffham Prior. Nice view of the towers from the beer garden. Three Bateman's beers in good condition. No guest ales. Friendly landlord, nice and cosy interior. Didn't try the food but it looked like home cooked pub grub and decent prices. Verdict: good village pub worthy of support.
