| First visit recently. Welcoming Landlady. Decent pints of Summer Lightening and a honey beer from Brakspear. Beer range seems to come from "Bigger" national breweries rather than local ones. | This is the best real ale pub in Lancaster, bar none. Licensee's John and Maisey are top drawer too. Normally 6 Real Ales available which change every couple of weeks. Its an old skool pub with regular characters holding court at the bar. | 2 handpulls on, but wasn't able to sample as the place isn't child-friendly (unusual for decent ale-houses in Lancaster) as I had the missus' little brother on tour with me.
