|Very bright pub that obviously majors on food. There are bench seats in the window that are so high off the floor that my feet didn't touch the ground when I sat there and I'm 6 foot tall. If I had been with the other half I would have had to lift her on and off. What a strange idea. 4 handpumps on the bar Bank's Bitter and Original, Jennings Cumberland (all a bit bland for me) and the superb Ringwood XXXX Porter. Guess which I had! A very good pint it was too. Not really my type of pub put pleasent nontheless.|

|Renovated around 6 months ago which has totally changed the place. Used to be an old fashioned boozer which I actually quite liked.|
Now it's much more open and lighter and has lost a little charm, but the foods not bad and the beer is fine.
As well as the bar, there's a dedicated dining area and patio for unrepentant smokers.
Service can be a little indifferent, ocassionally bordering on unfriendly, but generally OK.
