Been back to this pub since last review and it just gets better. Most relaxing place you could wish to visit. 6 ales on, tried 3 (can't remember all the names) and they were all perfect. Wife nd children had some fantastic meals and never rushed and all felt welcome and comfortable. newspapers around to read after the meal whilst the children played chess. Superb! the place to go if you are in the area!

nice place - clean and tidy - 3 cask conditioned ales on whe n we visited and all 3 were top quality.
No food on which was disappointing for 2.30pm
Nice sun trap of a beer garden with plenty of seating and were okay about the children being there
All round a good place and certainly we will go back to when we return to the area

Fantastic thatched pub set back off the main drag, 6 hand pulled ales including when i was there Leeds Brewery gold, the landlady pulled a whole pint off and poured it away before serving me, a very impressive example of customer service. Nice log fire, newspapers, friendly locals and a great atmosphere well worth a visit.

Still the best pub in town and probably the district with excellent range of real ales. Just what a proper boozer should be like!

This place really is a gem in the heart of Wiltshire!! I live away from Bassett now but I make sure this is the place I come back to first (sorry Mum and Dad) fantastic beers, lovely locals and a Landlord and Landlady that are second to none I hope this place never dies!!!
