| The earlier comments are probably irrelevant now as this pub had a massive refurbishment in 2014. I visited with family for the first time since about 1990, and I have to say what a great job they've done! The front bar still has a good pub feel, with stools, pool table, part tile floor etc... The other rooms are given over to the Restaurant which has a lovely feel and an innovative menu which I understand changes regularly. Beers were slightly limited with Sharps Doom Bar and Castle Rock Harvest Pale, but there were a couple of good lagers as well as Aspalls Cider. The food is excellent, although with all main courses at £14 this would be expected. The two and three course options work out better value. | Probably is a nice pub and the food looks good however the garden is full of dog mess and not fresh dog mess!!. I complained to the barmaid who said someone will be out to it, but nothing. Had to go home and clean the families shoes. mattl1802 - 1 Aug 2010 14:22 |
