A welcome choice after a rather nerve-racking Under-16s driving experience at Brookland's Mercedes-Benz World. The carvery was well-judged and well-priced, as was the well-kept Bombardier (£3.20 a pint), which more than made up for the rather lacklustre service proffered. In terms of value for money though, well worth a visit, and certainly deserves more than its current sub-4 rating.

Went here in Jan and had carvery meal - very good and excellent value for money. My pint was a bit off but changed without question and Golden Arrow was excellent.

Returned on Sat. We were too late for carvery but menu meals were excellent. Again, Golden Arrow was top notch. We sat in the bar area and I thought it might get a bit noisy as it quiter busy, but the locals were friendly and not too noisy.

Will deffo return.

After a refurb this place is much improved. Had a Sunday lunch from the carvery which was fine and good value, a good selection of beers and wine and cheery service.

I am sorry to say that this pub has gone down hill rapidly since the end of January. The service is terrible and the two best bar staff have left. The manager, called Sam, needs to get a character inplant as she is so miserable all the time. No - this place is the pits since the two regular barmen went. I'll go back when they get a decent manager again. Rating now: 1/10

The real ale at The Goat is worth the visit alone. They now do a regularly changing guest ale along with the usual Bombadier and Youngs. Today I had a couple of pints of Twickenham Fine Ales 'Autumn Blaze'. Last week it was TEA, the week before I had Rebellion 'Smuggler'. It's all good and only 2.60 a pint. I recommend to everyone. The new landlady is doing a good job.
