| Popped in for a meal but the beer was poor so I didn't bother ordering. I'd already taken one beer back, tried a sample of another but that was no good either, tried a sample of a third Thornbridge Jaipur which seemed OK at first so I had a pint but later realised it was not good at all, left half of it and left the pub. | Your average Wetherspoons - i.e 4 people behind the bar busy with other tasks as opposed to serving people waiting. The 'manager' seems to think interrupting the staff who actually are serving so he can admonish them is perfectly acceptable rather than the ignorance it actually is. | Ah, wish I'd come here when Fuller's had it. McSpoons have yet again managed to destroy virtually all atmosphere from what should be a landmark palace. Still being an ex-proper pub it manages a vestigial character, unlike most of the chain. curioushistory - 28 Nov 2012 22:40 |
