What used to be quite a handsome looking pub has been given the ubiquitous "sage green" re-decoration. It was never a great place for beer, being a Greene King pub and they are expensive and not particularly well kept. Beer garden was quite nice for a sunny afternoon. Not got much else going for it really.

Great village pub better for food than beer. Unfortunately beer not well kept which is a real shame. Definitely worth a visit for the beer garden in the summer but stick to the lager. Crisps are addictive

I visited this pub for the first time in quite a while and in terms of the decor nothing has really changed since I was last there. The pub has a traditional village feel about it. I prefer the bar side as the lounge, in spite of being close to full, was quiet. In fact it was like being in library. The beer in there was decent without being exceptional which surprised me as I can remember having some outstanding pints of Abbott there in the past.

Fantastic evening out. Friendly staff and excellent food. Good guest beer. How a traditional village pub should be

I loved everything about this pub!! The menu had lots of home cooked pub grub and also the very best steak in the world!! The chef certainly knows how to cook a great steak! The staff were friendly and welcoming. The interior has a "proper" village pub feel to it and is non smoking. I highly recommend this place.
