We were hoping to find real cider here last Saturday lunchtime but there wasn't any and my pint of Exmoor Redstone was only average. With just one or two locals present (and a sorry-looking caged bird), we drank up quickly never to return I imagine.

With the King William at Catcott apparently closed for good, we had a longer wait than expected for the Ring O'Bells to open. A few others joined us as it neared the 7pm opening time. I was glad we waited though. This is another lovely Somerset hostelry with a couple of real ales, a real cider, a cosy lounge and a large room complete with a skittle alley. The 2 ales were Severn Vale Dursley Stem Bitter & RCH PG Steam. Cider was Wilkins Farmhouse. We also enjoyed a decent dinner here too. I opted for the Sunday roast deal, which included a dessert for £10.50. Was worth the wait.

Have had a few incredible meals here since they took on the new chef. Wonderful specials that always change (unlike a lot of other local places), beautifully cooked steaks and really impressed with the pies, not bought in either! Other half was very impressed by the selection of beers and all the staff were lovely, especially towards our 1 year old who had everyone cooing over him. Will definitely be back for more.

Found this pub by chance but what a find..I wonderful blonde ale at a reasonable price and a warm welcome. There is a covered smoking area where I could watch my daughter play in the garden from . I however have to disagree with previous comments about the food. My wife ordered the whole torbay sole and I had the homemade lamb and apricot pie which was really good . my daughter who is a fussy eater had the kids lasagne which she said was better than mummy's well that didn't go down well but the sticky nut tart and white chocolate and malteaser cheesecake did!
