Can be okay if you go to the old bar (more food less) half which has more character and feels more pub-like and less eatery. Had a pint of Proper Job which was quite nice - though should be at 5p short of a fiver.

A return visit. Noone playing scrabble. Pub quiz not happening on this night.

Instead, I had the front room to myself and a very good pint of Youngs Bitter. Provided the chance to properly survey the victorian surroundings.

Fine pub. Worth a visit.

This is a wonderful little pub in a great location near Hampstead tube station and the Heath. I take many of my foreign guests here to show them a real English pub. You get some great old characters in the left hand saloon bar. The Flask used to be a socialist hang-out and you imagine Michael Foot in here playing dominoes and nursing an ale. Great decor. Not cheap admittedly but what does one expect around here?

Very expensive, not great bar service, strong focus on expensive food. It has lost a lot of its unique character
