| Busy pub with bouncer dating from 1793. Attentive staff served me straight away with Palmers Gold. Also sold local Ringwood Ales. Food was good but rather expensive. It was served promptly in 7min 45 sec. Screaming brats by adjacent table. Robin_from_Swanage - 19 Sep 2011 14:49 |
| Whoops, that last review was actually for the White Swan. Don't go in here because they don't allow dogs (there's a joke there somewhere if you can be bothered to make it). | Staff are young, fast and efficient.I had a pint of Piddle, which was alright, but nothing special.Quite a large menu, but we only stayed long enough for a quick pint. The decor and the atmosphere could be any urban pub anywhere although a couple of the "locals" were very keen to impress upon some other Londoners that it was all very London on Sea. | Re-furbed and re-opened this summer and they've done a really great job. Place looks superb and a great atmosphere. Also well worth a visit for the food. We have eaten here a few times and been really impressed - easily the best place in Swanage for a decent meal. Leo1 - 20 Sep 2007 14:33 |
