It has now shut but is returning as The Cross Kings.
Not sure when that comes into play.

Ripped my mates knee-ligaments during a play-fight in here once. Messy. The place brings back memories of some wasted Sunday afternoons of my youth when all-day drinking and work on Monday was a viable option.

This place is like a spit and sawdust version of the Walkabout.... yes, its really is that rough.

It even has a dentists chair.... very uncooth!!!! ;-)

Legendary (among backpackers) Kings Cross boozer

I believe closure is imminent so enjoy it while you can!

I think it has let itself go a bit in recent years as most Australians seem to go to the Walkie in Shepherds Bush or the Red Back Tavern at the weekends

Pub-wise nothing special - standard range of beers at 3 a pint, small dancefloor, ok bouncers, Antipodean and rock tunes and a 3 entry charge on Sundays
