| Being a Peterborough boy born and bred and having my first legal pint in "the arms"(and a few before that) I made a return visit to the place my first since 1992 and I was most surprised the front of the place had not changed but the inside was transformed the beer was just as I remembered it, a good selection of Elgoods Ales and the food was excellent Unfortunatly the pub still has a reputation as being a gypsy pub and it does not receive the acclaim that it deserves there has been a huge amount of house building going on in the last 20 years around the pub and it should be well supported but due to its history people seem to ignore it and thats a real shame I really enjoyed my night in there its just a shame that more locals dont use it whippet - 10 Jun 2009 20:59 |
