We went to The Beach Tavern today from Southend on Sea after Margaret recommended it to us. The food was fantastic and we were made to feel really welcome. Thank you Margaret. We hope to return CaroleRoast - 21 Nov 2010 20:08
Tonight was the second time I visited this pub and its brilliant, the staff are friendly, the bands and music are excellant. It is continually upgrading at the moment, I intend to go for a meal as it has been highly recommended. Bezel - 6 Nov 2010 01:48
The new owners have worked hard and turned this pub around. Somehow they managed to serve up 12 good meals at very short notice and all at a very reasonable price. What was once a rowdy burger and chips pub has become a place you could take you Granny ! Would thoroughly recommend to anyone. miguyra - 8 Mar 2010 21:26
Seems a sporty type of venue. Two Sky football games on in the bars. Beer & decor OK. Probably relies on the trade from the caravan sites in the summer. Live music on some weekends. pissedasanewt - 19 Mar 2007 18:49
Was the only pub in the whole of Pevensey which would allow a child within 10 metres of its entrance. I mean - the whole place really sucks, and worse - nowhere to drown your sorrow at being there. The pub itself looks like it was put together using blindness and all the worst bits that other pubs didn't want. The locals seemed a fairly rough bunch but ugliness is only skindeep. Beer tasted very nice. londinieres - 11 Dec 2006 13:05
