My bus here dropped me off on the nearby Broadway. I'd had the pleasure of seeing the Broadway in all of its different lights throughout the day, from ghost town early in the morning, to thriving shopping centre during the day and to a lively nightlife area at night. There's plenty of nightspots, with live music, bouncers and youngsters queuing to enter establishments, wearing very little. A walk down Lion Road revealed a further bar/nightclub. But persevere and you will find this fantastic backstreet local boozer that is a far cry from the happenings on the Broadway. Service is friendly and customers are friendly too. Most are simply here for decent beer and conversation. The ale range doesn't seem to change much. Regular ales are Adnams Bitter & Ghost Ship, Bexley's Own Beer, Fuller's London Pride, Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter & Sharp's Doom Bar. The guest beer was Bexley St George's Pale. Despite doing 9 Bexleyheath pubs on the day and 4 in Bexley a couple of weeks ago, this was the only sighting of a Bexley beer. My Bexley's Own was rather nice. A lovely unspoilt traditional pub.

I finally made my 1st ever visit here, having visited a few years back without realising they close between 4pm and 7pm on a Saturday.

This is a friendly locals pub in a residential area with 8 pump's offering 6 regular cask ales & 2 guests. One of these was Bob from the local Bexley Brewery, a decent pint @ 4.2% and just £2.95.

Old fashioned country pub style interior with a friendly welcome from the barmaid. The ceiling has a large amount of pewter jugs hanging from it. There are front and back gardens. The front has benches and tables set back from the road and is decorated with hanging baskets.

Half a dozen punters in on my Saturday lunch time visit.

A nice pub with good ale, worthy of a visit but make sure you check the opening times.

A good pub, winning numerous awards. Although this has over-inflated the ego of the landlord and son to epic proportions, you're not superstars, just serve me and drop the smugness please!!! A well kept beer garden out back, children welcome, but would only advise older children, as small concrete garden with no toys. A handful of nice seating outside the front. The only slight downside is that the pub is very small inside, narrow in places, near gents and darts board, but gets the thumbs up :)

Good pub but for a free house with 8 pumps the choice is very mainstream. Adnams Bitter and Broadside, Pride, Brakspear, Harveys, Doom Bar, Brains Reverend James and one guest which was Westerham Summer Perle at a very reasonable 2.75.

A friendly place with a very good beer (six real ales) selection including Adnams Broadside and Sharp's Doombar. Well worth a visit.
