A party of us had lunch here, about a month ago. It is a pleasant rural pub which concentrates on the food.
I found the food well cooked, with generous portions. Some of the menu choices were, however, not available.
Service was efficient and friendly.

What a superb pub!We had our annual A.J.S Bike Club dinner there last Saturday evening. What can I say,the tables were laid out for 20 people
all with flowers and individual menus, looked great.Even better to come!
The food was absolutely delicious, the service extreemly efficient and friendly.
The cost very good indeed!
You couldn't wish for a nicer venue or a better couple than Mark and Kate.

Myself and my wife visited this pub on Saturday 14th January 2012 and had an absolutely fantastic meal. The atmosphere was great, the staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. I had the best burger I have ever had (and I have had a lot!) with Cheese, Bacon, Gherkins, Fried Onions and Sundried Tomatoes on top and was thoroughly impressed with the value too.

I only wish we lived in the local area so we could eat there more often!

Tried the Shere Drop (Surrey Hills Brewery) which was a very good pint. The 'Bar Snacks' menu didn't have anything much in the way of cooked food, so headed round to the dining area. The pub itself was quite busy but the dining room was empty although it did fill up later. I had pork & herb sausages with Colcannon mash. Food freshly cooked and the meat sourced from the local butcher. The William IV is a fairly large pub with the space broken up into different sized seating areas to go with the vagaries of a very old timbered building. The whole pub though, has a nice friendly atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
