And I forgot to mention the gents' urinals! Very unusual and worth a look.

Lovely country pub which appears popular with a wide range of people, especially diners. The rear garden was packed with families and chickens wander round between the tables. I also noticed a pig, as I was heading back to the car park. Staff and customers take their ales seriously. All 4 ales were from Sussex. The 2 regular beers were Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter & Burning Sky Plateau. The 2 guest beers were Gun IPA & 360° West Coast Pale. They also had a not so local cider - Gwynt y Ddraig Happy Daze.

Recently re-opened after a long closure. Some refurbishment still to be done but a very nice pub with friendly staff, serving good food and beer including Harvey's and a range of guest beers. Fairly quiet on a mid week lunch time but hopefully trade will pick up. Well worth a visit.

Sold recently and bought by locals who have leased it to the guys who run the Snowdrop in Lewes. Impeccably decorated inside with various shades of green and some quirky "pieces". It has a very pleasing atmosphere. Jury still out on the mustard coloured outside though. Good food very similar to the Snowdrop and well kept beers. Not many locals there but presumably the place is still finding its feet. Although it's somewhat 'gastro' there were folk there just drinking who seemed welcome.
There are outside benches and they have rooms.
