| Yeah the previous review said it all. Very clean with interesting transport prints from years gone by on the walls but suffers from whats commonly called a pub company. If this was a free house it would be a must visit. Gem and Courage Best were both good at �2.75 but with a spoons around the corner selling it for seven and six a pint you have to feel so sorry for good people working hard. | We visit this pub about once a week and have always found it to be very welcoming and extremely clean and inviting. The menu is basic but is always homecooked, hot and reasonbly priced, the best lasagne and cauliflower cheese we have ever tasted. Beer prices are average with a good selection. The landlord and his wife are very friendly. There is no loud piped music and this pub is a quiet haven from the usual loud and uninviting other pubs in the area. biddistone - 21 Dec 2007 18:46 |
