Visited in July and had a half of Ram Tam at £1.45. The barmaid thought it didn''t look good and poured me another one, explaining it was the first one through. Friendly and pleasant service. I was in at 12:20 on a weekday lunch time and there were a handful of other customers in. 6 or so Timothy Taylor ales available - I didn''t even know they made that many! There was also one blank pump and one offering Old Rosie cider. Would happily go back.

Well what can I really say about this little gem of Keighley apart from how disappointed I have become of it. For the last 10 years my wife and I have spent many days & evenings in this pub but whilst in there on Saturday evening 18/10/14 we left feeling highly discussed. When we arrived it was very busy, my wife managed to find a table whilst I went to the bar. I was served very quickly by the young lad (whom seemed to be the only one willing to work which I will refer to in a moment). Whilst i stood there waiting for our drinks, the landlord who was sat at the end of the bar drinking with some regulars, quite clearly showed how he doesn't like certain amount of his customers. The language that was coming from his mouth as certain customers walked in was appalling not only embarrassing for them but other customers in the establishment has he clearly made sure they come hear him.
When I returned to the bar for our second round of drinks I was absolutely gobsmacked, the young lad that served me earlier was running up and down the bar serving whilst the lass he was working with found it appropriate to sit on the sink whilst texting on her mobile and talking to the landlord. I counted 5 other customers waiting to be served but she obviously found it far more important to play on her mobile than do the job she was being paid for. After 5 minutes of waiting and the lack of acknowledgement I told my wife that we were leaving. I am a very patient man but I refuse to be left waiting because of a mobile phone. I really hope the young lad gets the recognition he deserves because if it wasn't for him on Saturday night then I think the majority of the customers would of walked out. Im afraid my favourite pub as now lost my customer until the professional and presentable staff that use to be there return.

A cosy pub with a good atmosphere selling Taylors beers and a guest ale.

Traditional community local pub.
There was a full range of Taylors beers and a guest beer from Ossett Brewery.
Best pub in Keighley that Ive found so far.
