Depressing place to go for a pint before - or after - a film in the Vue upstairs in the complex. Not much of an ale selection and what there is is pretty poorly looked after. Generally filled with dicks.

While the White House is still not bad, it used to be better when it was branded Wetherspoons rather than Lloyds. Today it is rather loud, if dimly lit. But there is a fair selection of beer and it is a large pub. You're likely to find a seat and be able to enjoy a meal quickly.

The real pond life of Luton congregate in yates' at the other end of the town centre so the White House is relatively civilised. Staff turnover seems quite high.

Cheap as always with JDW, but staffing hopeless - empty at 4 o'clock and 3 staff standing around chatting, full by 5 o'clock and 2 of the 3 staff gone home. Alot of people must walk out and go elsewhere because they get fed up of waiting. Surely the rosters could be reviewed to actually provide something approaching the correct staffing levels in relation to the demand.

Agree with other reviewers that the place is very dark and dingy - although if you go in the upstairs bit it's better.

To be honest, Harpenden and Flitwick are better places than Luton to go for pubs!

I didn't have a problem with this pub. In fact, I thought it was quite pleasant. Very good pint of beer on a Friday evening, crowded but not overcrowded. Clean and comfortable.

THIS MUST BE ONE OF WETHERSPOONS WORST PUBS IN THEIR CHAIN ACROSS THE UK.

IT OPENS AT 7 IN THE MORNING AND ATTRACTS ALL THE POND LIFE AND WINOS IN THE AREA FOR A CHEAP BREAKFAST AND DRINK AND THEY REMAIN THERE MOST OF THE DAY ONLY TO BE REPLACED AT NIGHT BY CHAVS LOOKING FOR A FIGHT.

I HAVE BEEN IN OTHER WETHERSPOON ESTALISHMENTS ACROSS THE UK AND THEY ARE BETTER RUN AND BETTER MANAGED THAN THIS PLACE.

WORD TO THE WISE....REVAMP THE PLACE AND BE MORE SELECTIVE WHO YOU ALLOW TO CROSS THE THRESHOLD OF YOUR ESTABLISHMENTS.....I MIGHT COME BACK IN IF YOU DO....
