As Quinno has said, this really feels like you're in someone's living room. Even the large rear projection TV hooked up to a Wii console and the locals playing bowling on it added to that feel!
Decent enough place though, although not really much in the way of atmosphere. Beers were Marstons Bitter and Pedigree, plus Wychwood's Bah Humbug. Cider's were Thatcher's Gold and Natch.

Funny little place, a bit like having a beer in someone's front room/conservatory. Quite a small bar but manages to pack in a couple of Marstons beers in fair condition (and you get offered the choice of sparklered/non-sparklered before you order - nice touch).

Clienetele are mainly the middle-aged old-skool 'Head residents. Atmosphere was good. Outside seating area looks fab for a hot summer's day.

Wouldn't be my no#1 destination in town but you could do a lot worse.

A town center pub that has gone the way,of the must have a drink at all cost way.not inviting, you would think they would cater for the masses that frequent the town center.not the other way round.but there you go

A really nice , pleasant looking , which seems not know for some strange reason by people that live out that way , my first choice in Portishead , much preferrable than the plough , which is closeby
