user reviews of the Hole In The Wall, Scarborough

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Nice old fashioned narrow town pub on two levels (it's on the slope of a hill so one half is lower than the other. A decent range of ales of which the Titanic Plum Porter went down nicely.

This pub came under new management last year (2015) and they have totally changed the venue: up to 6 real ales, a warm friendly atmosphere, toilets sorted, real fire and what could be one of Scarborough's best beer gardens. Three screens which can all show different sports, one of the few places you are guaranteed to have F1 showing.

This place used to be a "must visit" on the Scarborough drinking circuit. It now appears to have fallen on hard times. The beer range is much reduced and the quality isn't as good as it used to be. Still a bit of a quirky place though with a quirky crowd to go with it. Try it, you might like ti.

This pub has had more landlords than i've had hot dinners.

Due to a damp problem with the flat above the toilets a visit to them is not a pleasent experience.

Very basic and quiet, but the ale is good.
