Nice 1930s corner pub in residential area. Community pub.

Staying at the Ramada Encore on the A40, popped down for a quick pint. Very cheery barman and just what we needed - a decent Guinness for 3 and a comfortable sit down for a bit. We were asked if we'd be coming back in for St. Patrick's Day celebrations, and probably would have done had we not been off to Norway the next morning; it felt as though it might be a pretty decent place to be that night! Will be back when we're next in the area..

A gem of a find, very old school in style but that's what I liked about it, a pub full of charm and not hijacked by the big chains.
Landlady was friendly and I felt very comfortable in this pub as I was a stranger in town for the day.
I remember the people being in the pub on the day I was there were either locals or Irish (the landlady is Irish too), so it's almost like a mini Irish pub.

Recommended, quaint and a great wee pub.
