Went back today..Grand national was on. Lots of happy people..Lots winners. And new friendly faces. Every one there very chatty and again a great pint. Met the landlady today and what a lovely lady. landlord still making laugh. again i think this pub has had a knocking over the years, but what do you expect from a run down town with no jobs or prospects. This a little place where people can let ther hair down and forget about the hard times.

Popped into this pub this week. And found it a very nice place. And very busy.(Market day) bar man was very cheeky and polite with it. Bought a guiness and the best one I have had in months. Recommended. This is a old town..with old people but they sure look after there customers. Was chatting to one old fella there and he said that the landlord and land lady would help anyone with a drop of a hat. He said that the landlady worked for the ambulance service and worked really hard. Where does she find the time. Must say it's kept clean and tidy. Ok the furniture a little old. But hay ho at least it's still open. Over all a nice place to drink and warm and welcoming. Will call in again.

Quite probably the worse pub in Kent - mainly old blokes either trying to talk or watch the (muted) football on the telly but blaring music just annoying. A shit hole of the first order - if you are waiting on a train buy a can from the off licence and drink it on the platform FAR better than this hole.

This is great high street pub. Will make this my local from now on. Snaz and Eve are a lovely couple, and make you feel very welcome. Karaoke nights are wicked. And the local maidstone band.who play there are fantastic. A must see. The regulars are real nice. A family feeling. The old reputation has cert gone. Thumbs up, keep up the good work. OH AND NOT TO FORGET GREAT BEER.
