Decent free house offering four ales when we went in. Doom Bar, London Pride, one from JW Lees and a decent golden ale from Norfolk. Decent session beer, well kept and £3.10 a pint.
Friendly landlady, pool, darts and football on TV. Welcoming pub and my only criticism would be the chairs, which make you feel like you are sat in a meeting rather than a pub.
Worth diverting off the Dorchester Road to visit.

Seems no one from BITE has been here for a while. In Weymouth again on a steam trip so thought I'd give it a go. Glad I did. 3 ales on, Doomed Bar which I didn't try and 2 micros which I did and both were kept well. Service was good. Seems to be a local and they were very friendly to this traveller. A previous contributer wondered why it was in the GBG but having sampled a lot of the possibles in Weymouth I can see why.

On my visit last week the beer was very poor, the service worse, why in tarnation is this pub an entry in the GBG ? A real mystery.

Great beer if you can get to the bar! In season it is manic.

Tried two of the four real ales available and I wasn't disappointed with the quality. Well worth the walk - it's about ten minutes or so from the station.
