Now sadly closed. Being converted into offices. Another one bites the dust.

3 decent real ales on, looks to be a good venue for music would definitely call again.

Had a cracking day and night here recently. Sunday lunch was fantastic!!! Cracking beer (Directors, Bass and Durham Magus) all first class. Loads of people were in for the Sunday teatime music (older clientele) and then a sort of Karaoke night from about 8:30. Went back on the Friday for live band (60's stuff) - had a really good time. Not 10 rated because the toilets need a bit of work.

A good old pub with friendly staff and chatty punters. Had Sunday lunch with friends and the food was surprisingly top notch with a guy playing a piano in the background. Lots of film and music themed pictures adorn the walls. 2 real ales were available. Lots of charm. Recommend.

Traditional, if slightly run-down, boozer near the Tyne quays. Had a reasonable pint of Rivet Catcher from the local Jarrow Brewery whilst waiting for the ferry.
