Quiet enough on a Monday lunchtime, opted for Hooky as I hadn't had it for a while and it was perfectly acceptable.

Hook Norton pub spread over a couple of floors not far from the High Street. There is actually more seating downstairs than on the ground floor. But, on this visit, it was quiet enough for everybody to fit upstairs. The 4 Hook Norton ales were Hooky, Hooky Gold, Old Hooky & Black Out. A guest ale was Glutenus Maximus from Brew York and there were a couple of Weston's ciders - Rosie's Pig & Hand Brake. I'd not seen the Black Out before and it was fairly good.

Newly renovated and Hook Norton’s first dedicated outlet in Oxford, this is decent enough although perhaps suffers a little from the nearness of the barbaric new Westgate shopping centre across the street, leading to an inevitable atmosphere of transience. The beers are fine although Hook Norton is a solid mid ranking performer as breweries go and there is little exciting in their range.

Okay beer, but only Greene King. Some half decent disco to be found on the jukebox, as you might expect in a gay pub. Just nothing to mark it out really.

Gay pub, one Green King real ale, quiz machine. Pretty bland. Not much to say.
