THIS PUB HAS NOW BEEN CLOSED - FOREVER !!!!

During my misspent youth, this was one of my lesser haunts. They did, however, serve an excellent pint of Pride until a few years ago, but I would not have recommended here to anyone other than a local who had some idea of what they were letting themselves in for. Unfortunately, I'm sad to see it go as it prompts some fond memories of bygone days and undoubtedly the New Town Centre development will find some bland themed pub to replace it (as if we haven't got enough of those already!).

Ahh the infamous "Ted The Grass". If you have just walked down the ramp from the station with no preconception about what adventures and exitement Stevenage has to offer, you may want to give this pub a try... This is a veritable micro climate of new town society. Don't stay too long mind, as the carpet is so sticky from spilled alchopops, blood and sick it'll feel as if you've checked in to the Hotel California! See that wrinkly tracksuited chap at the end of the bar dribbling in to his lager through blackened stump ridden gums - He's more than likely 23 years old and has yet to make it home since he first entered the pub years ago.

i guess it's your choice if you want to drink at a really rough pub full of Stevenage lowlifes with an extremely bad reputation for trouble and being generally rubbish.

DO NOT GO THERE!!!

I walk past this pub often as I work in the town. When you go past all you see is the same eople in there. Those people include old drunk people, chavs and low lifes in general.

I've never been there and never will go there, in fact, it should be the next build to be removed or change to some nicer shop.

What also annoys me is during the warmer days you get all the lowlifes sitting on the steps outside with their lagers, kids!, on mobiles shouting drinking alchohol in the street. Not nice..

Don't go there.
