Not to everyone's taste.

Went on a sunny Sunday afternoon, the place was packed, with people naturally attracted by the view of the countryside and the nice old building.

Whether you enjoy this place very much depends on what sort of person you are- for my taste, it's rather characterless and populated largely by people who look as if they spend a lot of time admiring themselves in the mirror.

The beer (Doombar) was average, the bar staff served punters in the packed bar apparently at random. And tellingly, there was little camaraderie among people waiting to be served- many simply pushed in when others had been waiting longer. Overall a pretty unfriendly experience.

Nice location, but little else to recommend this place.

Vey big pub in the old station with huge outdoor seating area. Good range of local ales, well kept too.

Very popular with a lot of people nowadays. Been there once and was quite impressed.

This is a lovely pub/restaurant, I visited on a Saturday evening in early November with a friend, the service was exceptional, the food was fantastic! and very good value, and there was plenty of it! We had a great evening and will definately be visiting again. The building is an old Railway Station building and is set in lovely surroundings, there is a covered, (heated and lit) seated area at the front which is lovely. Well worth a visit.

Really nice pub. Visited for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday (7th May 07) as friends had recommended it to me.

It was packed (lots of kids too!) but we were seated straight away (there were 2 of us and we were seated at a table for 4) Drinks order was taken within a few minutes, i ordered tea which arrived with a small pot of Malteasers which was a nice touch i thought!

Food was absolutely gorgeous, good value, and the Manager was walking about chatting to customers - he was a friendly chap. Will definatley go there again and recommend it to anyone who likes good food!
