| This pub has now been completely refurbished and looks great. We went for lunch on a friends recommendation. On arrival we were welcomed by the very friendly staff and left to sit and enjoy a couple of drinks in the bar area and not rushed to our seat for food. The food was fantastic, chicken liver parfait to start and a wonderful Pidgeon breast salad with black pudding and beetroot for main - both cooked to perfection. We later learned the chef (Tim Futter) was of The Black Boy / Chesil Rectory fame in Winchester - this was our favourite place to eat until he moved on. | The Kings Arms has now been taken over and refurbished. It has a very warm feel, all the staff are pleasant. We are serving a classic British menu accompanied by some highly praised beer and also a very impressive wine list. paulie1 - 15 Dec 2010 16:32 |
